Amy is a published poet, author, artist, and nature lover hailing from Middle Tennessee, where she lives with her husband and two children. She can't watch a fantasy movie or sci-fi show without wanting to write a paper on it. She finds her soul connection in nature and loves to stand barefoot in the grass under the light of the full moon. And she has big dreams of using words, poetry, and story in a way that can bring healing to people, specifically to women who have experienced trauma.
Amy's published poetry collections are Baptism: On Sinking and Rising, and STAY WITH ME: poems from a year of beauty and ashes. Her current works-in-progress include Goodbye Brutal Romance: Rewriting the Damaging Messages of Purity Culture, a mixed-media and found poetry series that deconstructs purity culture by rewriting damaging messages into poems of hope and healing; and a YA dystopian series.
