About

Amy is a published poet, author, artist, and nature lover hailing from Middle Tennessee, where she lives with her husband and two children, and constantly dreams of someday visiting the landscapes of her Celtic and Germanic heritage. She has big dreams of using words, poetry, and story in a way that can bring healing to people, specifically to women who have experienced trauma.

She can't watch a fantasy movie or sci-fi show without wanting to write a critical paper on it. She finds her soul connection in nature and loves to stand barefoot in the grass under the light of the full moon.

Amy’s published poetry collections are Baptism: On Sinking and Rising, and STAY WITH ME: poems from a year of beauty and ashes. Past projects include Goodbye Brutal Romance: Rewriting the Damaging Messages of Purity Culture, a mixed-media and found poetry series that deconstructs purity culture by rewriting damaging messages into poems of hope and healing; and a found poetry workshop for women survivors of trafficking. Currently, she is trying to navigate the waters of moving while homeschooling and trying to wrangle some novels into actual existence.
